What Are Retro Amiga Games

Retro Amiga Games were computer games created for early computers over 20 years ago. These games were considered ahead of their time because of the realistic animation and audio capabilities. Since these Vintage Video Games are not on sale) generally they are considered “retro” which means, retrograde or from things past. There is still a following because many of these Retro Amiga Games became the launch pad for other programmers later on.

Some of the Retro Amiga Games that topped the list from the era are, Formula 1 Grand Prix, Civilization, Lemmings, and Dune II. Many of the games that appeared on the consoles like the Commodore Amiga were taken straight from the coin drop video games of the arcade. Those that saw their most addictive stand up version reprogrammed) and formatted just the same as the arcade version, soon became fans. Although slow and clunky in when compared with the graphics of today, the Retro Video Games that started the whole gaming revolution seemed ahead of their time. This was before computers were normal in every home.

Finding & Buying Retro Games

Sometimes a collector or gaming enthusiast will try to find certain Retro Video Games for one of these consoles. Many people probably still have these consoles in their garage or basement and don’t know the popularity of these retro systems. It’s hard to locate Vintage Video Games since they don’t make them anymore, and even though PC software tries to introduce the same graphics it’s the combination of the systems and the games that produce the nostalgia. You can find games on eBay or even a pawnshop but there seems to be a lot of legwork involved. There are some gamer sites that cater exclusively to those who are seeking these games from days gone by.

Retro Amiga Games Summary

The history that these Vintage Arcade Games and consoles have can never be repeated. These systems were designed for games only, the systems of today build upon the system before it and so on. Retro Video Games bring back memories for those who sat in their basements &bedrooms and played until they couldn’t see straight. Although these types of consoles seem bulky and out of place among the sleek designs of today, they still have a solid place in the gaming world as the first game systems that started it all.
